The Career Boosters Program

Through a comprehensive analysis of your reasoning skills, work-related values, leadership style, and personality tendencies, the Stark & Associates’ Career Boosters Program will help you to better understand:

  • Areas for further growth and development
  • Specifically how to improve your interpersonal, leadership, and/or on-the-job effectiveness

There are two steps to the Career Boosters program:

Step 1: Information-Gathering

Through one or two sessions totaling 3½-4 hours, your reasoning skills, work-related values, leadership style, personality tendencies, educational and work background, and professional interests and goals are assessed and/or discussed. You will take 4 skills tests (which assess general reasoning, math, verbal, and critical-thinking skills) and 3 inventories (which assess your personality tendencies, work-related values, and leadership style), plus you’ll have an in-depth discussion with Dr. Stark. The findings are documented in a written report (typically 10-15 pages in length).

Step 2: Feedback, Discussion, & Recommendations

During a 3-hour-long session, Dr. Stark first shares and reviews the report with you. The report contains a narrative summary, supporting statistics, and a section with specific references to guide your future growth and development. Dr. Stark reviews each test and inventory with you, and explains the findings, and the implications of the findings, for you. Then, Dr. Stark shares a list of the strengths that you have, and suggests ways of playing to them. Next, a list of areas for further growth and development is shared, and then Dr. Stark recommends a general process for addressing this list, as well as specific recommendations for many of the items on it.

The Ultimate Goal: To Improve Your Chances for Success

The goal of this whole process is to show you how to increase your personal and professional effectiveness. By doing so, you will improve your chances of becoming “upwardly mobile”. Should this occur, this program can pay for itself many times over, in terms of increased income, self-actualization, and personal satisfaction.
